YAAAAAAY!

She reminded me a bit too much of my brother. My asshole brother who I am currently trying to break all ties with. Not because they are both extremely sexist, but because they both are at the same level of "We have no clue what we are doing is so absolutely fucking wrong."

To be fair, that's generally a skill far too many people lack: the inability to see the consequences of their actions.

Simply put, things become a lot more scary when you realize your actions can actually cause harm. It's legitimately terrifying, especially when you apply it to the past and see that actions taken in arrogance you did might have permanently changed things for the worse.

However, it's something which can be learned. The difference between a Jerk With A Heart Of Gold (who eventually has more of the Heart than the Jerk, and with luck drops the Jerk part entirely) and a just plain' jerk is that the JWAHOG recognizes their actions can hurt, whereas a just-jerk remains ignorant.

And people can change from one to the other. People can learn to see the consequences of their actions, and it can turn them into better people.

...However, THEY have to be willing. THEY have to open their eyes. THEY have to be able to change themselves and their perspective. And far too often, they refuse to.

And when that happens, you need to force your hand. Distance yourself, and get rid of them. If they get the message, maybe they'll learn, and be worth being around. If they don't (and most won't), then at least you're away from them.

Actually I view Alysandra as Isoncia's version of Umbridge.
I want Umbridge dead, so you know what I think of Alysandra.
